A Must Have for Better Pet Health

A Must Have for Better Pet Health

Let me tell you a little bit about Arthur, a sweet little turkey, er'dog. When we brought home our 8 week old Cavalier King Charles puppies, Arthur and Auggie, we were of course over-joyed and wanted the best for them. So when Arthur started showing signs of autoimmune sensitivities, we did what we could as pet parents to accomplish two main things – one, we did the research to fine-tune his already healthy diet, and discovered he needed to watch it with pork, chicken, and a few other things, and two, clean his system of toxins from the first round of vaccines that we were not involved in. We do realize that not everyone understands the truth and nuance of vaccines and pharmaceuticals, and how dangerous they are for both humans and our pets, but we knew a detox had to be done.

Here's what we were dealing with. Arthur struggled with chronic ear issues that began with an ear infection and painful sores and inflammation. The infection cleared however the inflammation lingered. There were times his ears looked pretty good, however the episodes persisted. It was so bad, and sad. It effected us all, because when the little ones suffer, it breaks your heart.

Inflamed ear

Healing ear on day 10

We did ask our local holistic pet store for a referral to a holistic vet, so we had already vetted where we were comfortable taking our four-legged babies. Who will care for your pet is so important. Trust me, it's a great tip to ask your holistic pet supply store for referrals. They can be a great resource.

Anyway, Arthur then had an unfortunate run-in with a Two Stripped Stick Bug, or often times called The Devils Riding Horse. These crazy bugs have an instinctual laser-like and precision ability to shoot you in the eye with poisonous venom, its escape of course. Arthur suffered a ruptured cornea and required immediate medical care. He has since healed perfectly, however I will tell you those couple of months prior resulted in pain medications and steroids, as well as the healthier stuff, anti-bodies given by serum drops.

So if you consider that pharmaceuticals result in toxins storing up in our bodies, it also is the same for animals. And Arthur and Auggie are just little fellas. A little bit could be a toxic load. I mention all of this because Arthurs ears had pretty much healed completely and we felt we were in the clear. Until after the eye injury.

I can't say for definitively of course, however after the eye injury cleared up, the ear inflammation came back with a vengeance. I put this potentially down to the medications we had given him. There never seemed to be an infection, however the ears were never the less red-hot inflamed. We were desperate for a remedy without giving him more drugs.

As it would be, someone introduced me to Isotonix, because I needed them for myself. As soon as I discovered the method by which these vitamins and minerals are absorbed, I was hooked. They had to work. I already had known I don't absorb nutrients, so I was over the moon to have an option of something that might work for me.

I started on a few different products, one being OPC3. It was a game changer. You can read about my personal story, but guess what, they also have an OPC product for dogs and cats. I couldn't believe it! We were both going to gain better health, together!

I gave Arthur a therapeutic dose of OPC + glutcuosimine and started to see marked improvement within a couple of days. The vibrant red faded off to a healthy pink and the swelling disappeared completely by day 10. The only part that required a bit of extra time was the healing of the wounds on his ears do to scratching and breaking open at the areas of swelling. He's healed completely and he has not had an ear issue since.

What a difference from the bright red, inflamed, swollen ear image on the left, to the photo of his ear taken on day 10, with a visibly small wound that had yet to heal.

Arthur and Auggie have a daily dose of OPC + glutcuosimine as well as a multi-vitamin. Both are a powder form that is sprinkled right onto their food, and from their first dose, they gobbled it up. I guess they have a beefy flavor.

Because we love our four-legged babies.

Here are the high-level benefits of OPC + glutcuosimine and what it can do for your dog or cat.
