The Inspiration
I imagine Margie resting in the heavenlies beside crystal‑blue waters, surrounded by perfect light.
My grandmother moved through life with ease—warm, authentic, and full of gentle humor. I remember her fondness for muumuus and the quiet grace she carried in everything she wore.
When designing the Margie Dress, I wanted it to embody that same sincerity. Untouched by trends or markets, it was created to offer comfortable elegance, modest beauty, and thoughtful design that feels timeless rather than fashionable.

Style & Design Notes
Stargaze transforms an original painting into a one‑of‑a‑kind garment.
Its relaxed silhouette drapes naturally, allowing the Lotus Silk to move with quiet fluidity while the adjustable ribbon tie offers gentle shaping when desired. Every brushstroke is applied by hand, allowing the painting to become part of the fabric itself rather than simply resting upon it.
The result is a piece that feels equally at home in a gallery, a gathering, or moments of quiet everyday beauty.

Artisan Craftsmanship — How the Margie Dress Is Created
Each dress begins with memory before it becomes material.
Designed in Sarasota, Florida, the silhouette was inspired by my grandmother Margie—a woman whose warmth, authenticity, and effortless elegance continue to shape this collection.
The garment itself is handcrafted in India using Lotus Silk. Working with this extraordinary fiber requires patience, precision, and deep respect for traditional craftsmanship. Every dress is carefully constructed to preserve the natural movement and beauty of the fabric.
Once completed, the garment returns to our Sarasota studio where it is individually hand painted. Pigments are layered slowly, allowing every brushstroke to settle naturally into the Lotus Silk while preserving its soft sheen and organic texture.
No machine can reproduce this process.
Every hand painted Margie Dress becomes an original work of wearable art, shaped through global craftsmanship and finished with intentional, faith‑rooted artistry.
Materials & Care
Why Lotus Silk Matters
Lotus Silk is exceptionally rare, breathable, naturally antibacterial, and gentle on sensitive skin. Its smooth, absorbent surface allows hand‑painted pigments to become richly integrated into the fabric, creating artwork that is both vibrant and enduring.
Care Instructions
To preserve the beauty of your garment, hand wash gently or dry clean using silk‑safe methods. Hang or lay flat to air dry, and avoid wringing or twisting the fabric.
With thoughtful care, your Margie Dress is designed to be enjoyed for many years.

The Artist’s Philosophy
Intuitive Process
Every painting begins long before brush touches fabric. Ideas are carried, studied, and quietly refined until the work reveals itself through layers of color and movement.
Each garment begins as original artwork before being thoughtfully translated into a wearable form. The creative journey continues beyond the canvas, allowing art to become something that lives, moves, and accompanies everyday life.
Source For Being creates thoughtfully designed collections that celebrate individuality, inspire creativity, and reflect beauty with intention. Every piece is made to invite quiet wonder while honoring the Creator through craftsmanship, integrity, and enduring design.
