The Scarlet Thread partners with individuals who have overcome significant life challenges and are actively rebuilding their lives. Through creative collaboration, original artwork is transformed into commercial products, creating opportunities for income, exposure, and renewed purpose.

Selection Process

Step 1: Nomination

A qualified sponsor submits a nomination.

Step 2: Application

The applicant completes a short application including:

• Personal story
• Recovery and restoration journey
• Artwork samples
• Goals and aspirations

Step 3: Review

Applications are reviewed based on:

• Recovery and personal growth
• Authenticity
• Artistic expression
• Readiness for partnership

Step 4: Selection

Selected applicants become:

Artist Partnership

Each Scarlet Thread Artist receives:

• Product design collaboration
• Professional design development
• Personal artist profile
• Promotional support
• One complimentary pair of their featured product

Creative Process

Artist Submission

Design Development

The artwork is transformed into commercial patterns, graphics, and product concepts while preserving the artist's original creative vision.

Artist Approval

Revenue Sharing

Featured Artist Collection

After direct product costs are recovered:

• Artist receives 70% of net profits
• Program retains 30% to sustain and expand future opportunities

Important Notice

The Scarlet Thread provides opportunity, not guaranteed income.

Sales performance will vary. While every effort will be made to promote artist collections, earnings depend on market demand and product sales.

I would absolutely include that language somewhere. It protects both you and the artist.

Scarlet Thread Ambassador Program

Featured artists may also participate in the separate Ambassador Program.

Artist Ambassador Tier

Because they are featured artists, Scarlet Thread Artists may qualify for enhanced ambassador commissions that exceed the standard ambassador rate.

My biggest recommendation: never describe this as helping people who are struggling with addiction. Describe it as helping people who are already pursuing recovery and restoration. That's the heart of what you're actually trying to do, and it avoids attracting applicants who are looking for rescue instead of opportunity.
