Style & Design Notes

Twilight Garden is a hand painted Margie muumuu with a ribbon tie, and is a one-of-a-kind piece of art.

There is something exceptional and luxurious about Lotus Silk– the way it feels and the way it moves with comfortable elegance, but there is also something intrinsically unique about this garment– the essence of this dress is elegantly modest and refined with a bit of flair. It is authentically poured over from the creativity that dwells within.

Lotus Silk is an exquisite and uncommon fabric made from the stem fibers of the lotus flower. It is both durable and dreamy and has a beautiful soft drape that is flattering without cling. Like linen, it has a frequency Hz resonance that is considered healing and good for the body.

Its hand is soft, buttery smooth, and lightweight, like a blend of silk and fine linen, with a subtle sheen that adds to its elegance and special nature. It has incredible breathability, is antibacterial, and hypoallergenic. It has a cool touch in warmer weather and will equally warm you in cooler weather.

  • Loose fit
  • Boxy design
  • Wide softly scooped neck line
  • Sleeve design fits like a cap sleeve

Our Artisans

From start to finish each garment is brought to life through an artistic eye and intentional design. This design was inspired in Sarasota Florida and hand made by skilled artisans in India and hand painted in our Sarasota Fl studio.

Inspiration for this dress design is my grandmother, Margie, who sits in the heavenly's on the banks of crystal blue waters, basking in perfect light.

Intuitive Process

Bring forward through layers

While I am painting constantly in my mind, when I do get a chance to stand before a canvas, most often I load it up with paint and stand back. To study. Interact. To be emotional and seek what is there.

Expression
From literal art translation to rendered patternwork

The artful journey is never over, at least not for me. There may be times of rest, but no peice ever becomes barren of inspiration.
