The Empress was originally inspired by a barn wedding where elegance meets cowboy boots, and has taken on new life with a shift to a less dramatically poetic design from the original.
This is the sleeveless version and is a perfect complement to a Sunday brunch or afternoon celebration, and has day to evening wearability even when formality is not required. The Bemberg Modal balances structure with elegant flow.

Bespoke textile art print – Sunlit Bloom
The sightly loose bodice features a modest v-neck leading your view to a flowing, pleated skirt length with a slight high-low hemline. This sleeveless version of the formal cap sleeve Empress dress has intentional character, while being day to evening friendly, and less dramatic as the poetic cummberbund Empress.
The selected fabric is a beautiful Bemberg Modal blend. It has a subtle silk-like sheen, is creamy smooth, highly breathable, has great flow and does not cling. It is an exceptional silk alternative fabric that is made from a blend of Cupro (cotton linter) and beech wood fiber, making it both exquisite and durable, and a perfect canvas for authentic creativity.
This dress features a bespoke textile print styled after the puff flower painting, and created in a vibrant and cheerful color way, Sunlit Bloom is playful and inviting, a beautiful rendition of its alternative and more serious and moody color way.

Bemberg Modal: With proper care, it can endure for years. While hand washing and delicate machine wash remains an option, dry cleaning for natural fabric varieties is also recommended with professional care. Simply hang your clothes or lay flat to air dry. Avoid wringing to maintain the strength of fibers.

It is wearable canvas, hand made by skilled artisans in India and designed, hand painted and finished in our Sarasota Fl studio.
