The Empress dress is inspired by an early summer farm wedding. The kind of celebration where cowboy boots meet formal wear. In honor of their hard work creating a magical place built on love, patience, dedication, and a curious admiration of nature.
The combination of the roomy a-line cinched with a pleated cummerbund marries softness with intention. The Bemberg Modal balances structure with elegant flow.
Style & Design Notes
A one-of-a-kind painterly textile art with a contemporary artisan couture styling.
The design features a flowing yet pleated skirt length with a slight high-low hemline, and a beautiful spray of hand made florals. The sleeveless bodice features a modest v-neck leading your view to a sassy pleated cummerbund that wraps to tie either in the front or back. When worn without the cummerbund the dress is loosely fit and flows with intentional character, showcasing playful movement of the florals on the pleated skirt. The primary color is a rich Black Cherry.
The selected fabric is a beautiful Bemberg Modal blend. It has a subtle silk-like sheen, is creamy smooth, highly breathable, has great flow and does not cling. It is an exceptional silk alternative fabric that is made from a blend of Cupro (cotton linter) and beech wood fiber, making it both exquisite and durable, and a perfect canvas for authentic creativity.

Our Bemberg Modal garments are safely hand painted, resulting in pieces that are refined yet resilient. With proper care, they can endure for years. While hand washing and delicate machine wash remains an option, dry cleaning for natural fabric varieties is also recommended with professional care. Simply hang your clothes or lay flat to air dry. Avoid wringing to maintain the strength of fibers.

It is hand made by skilled artisans in India and hand painted in our Sarasota Fl studio.
